# CNC Turned Aluminum Fire Hose Coupling and Nozzle Body

Category: CNC Turning Parts
URL: https://www.machined-parts-factory.com/products/cnc-turning-parts/cnc-turned-aluminum-fire-hose-coupling-and-nozzle-body/

These are fire hose couplings, adapters and nozzle bodies CNC turned from aluminum and brass, with threads and sealing grooves machined to firefighting standards. Typical items include female swivel couplings, male nipples, reducers and nozzle barrels. They are produced for firefighting equipment brands and distributors who need lightweight, corrosion-resistant fittings to their drawings or national standards.

- NH, BSP and Storz-type couplings to drawing
- Hard anodized aluminum or durable brass
- Smooth turned flow passages in nozzle bodies
- Milled rocker or pin lugs for spanners

## How we make it
Couplings are turned from bar or forged blanks on CNC lathes, cutting the hose tail, seal grooves and threads in one setup. Threads such as NH (NST), BSP or Storz-type lugs are cut and checked against mating gauges. Rocker lugs or pin lugs for spanner wrenches are milled with live tools. Nozzle bodies have internal flow passages turned smoothly to reduce turbulence.

Aluminum 6061-T6 is common for lightweight couplings and is hard anodized to resist wear and corrosion. Brass couplings are heavier but very durable and resist corrosion in hydrants and fixed systems. Stainless steel is used for marine and chemical environments. Hard anodizing in red or other colors helps identify fittings. Gaskets are made from EPDM or other rubbers to specification.

Thread fit, seal groove dimensions and coupling swivel action are checked on every part. Pressure testing can be arranged to the customer's specification. Typical uses include fire hose couplings, hydrant adapters, nozzle barrels, sprinkler system fittings and foam equipment parts for fire departments, industrial fire brigades, building sprinkler contractors and equipment distributors.

## FAQ
### Can you machine fire hose couplings to NH/NST threads?
Yes. NH (National Hose) threads are cut to the specified size and checked against mating gauges or sample fittings. We also produce BSP, metric and customer-specific threads. Please provide the standard and size; certification to a fire standard remains the responsibility of the brand owner.

### Aluminum or brass for fire hose couplings?
Aluminum is much lighter, which matters for hand lines and portable equipment, and hard anodizing gives good wear and corrosion resistance. Brass is heavier but very durable and tolerates rough handling and long exposure in fixed systems and hydrants. Many departments use aluminum for hoses and brass for hydrant fittings.

### How do I get a quote for cnc turned aluminum fire hose coupling and nozzle body?
Send a 3D model (STEP or IGES) and a 2D drawing with tolerances, material, finish and quantity through the quote form or by email. An engineer replies within 24 hours on business days with price, lead time and any DFM suggestions.
