Category: CNC Turning Parts
URL: https://www.machined-parts-factory.com/products/cnc-turning-parts/cnc-turned-brushed-brass-and-copper-lamp-fittings/

These are custom lighting components turned on CNC lathes from brass and copper: lamp holders, socket cups, finials, tubes, couplers and threaded nipples. Parts are brushed, painted or lacquered, with critical fits at 0.01–0.05 mm. They are for lighting designers and fixture manufacturers who need solid metal fittings with a warm, premium finish in small or medium runs.

- Brass and copper with warm natural tones
- Brushed, lacquered, plated or painted
- Standard lamp threads such as M10x1
- Individually wrapped to protect cosmetic faces

## How we make it
Brass lighting parts are turned from round or hex bar; the material's free-cutting behavior allows fine profiles, sharp shoulders and smooth threads at high speed. Copper is gummier and needs sharp, polished tools. Threads such as M10x1 lamp nipples are cut or rolled to standard. Brushing is done on the lathe or with abrasive belts for a consistent linear grain around the circumference.

Brass gives a gold tone that can be left natural, lacquered to slow tarnish, or plated in nickel or chrome. Copper offers a redder color and patinas naturally, which some designers want. Painting suits colored fixtures. Unlacquered brass and copper will darken over time; clear lacquer keeps them bright. For outdoor fittings, nickel plating gives better long-term corrosion protection.

Thread fit is verified with gauges and with mating parts at first article. Each cosmetic part is visually checked under consistent light for scratches and finish uniformity, then wrapped individually. Critical dimensions receive 100% inspection. Typical uses include pendant canopies, table lamp stems, socket cups, decorative finials and cable grips.

## FAQ
### Will brass lamp fittings tarnish over time?
Bare brass naturally oxidizes and darkens, especially when handled. Clear lacquer slows this considerably, while nickel or chrome plating stops it. Some designers prefer unlacquered brass for its aging character. Tell us the look you want and we will recommend a finish.

### Can you match threads to standard lamp components?
Yes. We commonly machine M10x1 and other standard lamp threads, as well as custom threads to drawing. Threads are gauged and test-fitted with your sockets or nipples at first article so the parts assemble with off-the-shelf lighting components.

### How do I get a quote for cnc turned brushed brass and copper lamp fittings?
Send a 3D model (STEP or IGES) and a 2D drawing with tolerances, material, finish and quantity through the quote form or by email. An engineer replies within 24 hours on business days with price, lead time and any DFM suggestions.
