These are 5-axis CNC milled aluminum precision parts finished with anodizing, such as optical mounts, sensor housings, robot brackets and medical device frames. Critical features are held down to ±0.005 mm, and orders start at one piece with samples typically within about 7 days. Other finishes, including chrome or nickel plating, painting and powder coating, are also available.

- Critical features down to ±0.005 mm
- Finish passes after stabilization
- Anodize allowance or masking on fits
- Samples typically within about 7 days

## How we make it
Precision 5-axis parts are planned so that all critical features are machined from one datum setup, which avoids stack-up errors. We rough the part, allow it to stabilize, then finish critical bores and faces in light passes. Because anodizing adds thickness, we machine critical fits with an allowance or mask them, so final dimensions after finishing still meet the drawing.

6061-T6 is the most common choice for precision anodized parts. 7075-T6 is stronger and holds threads better but anodizes slightly darker. Type II anodizing adds color and corrosion protection; Type III hard anodizing increases wear resistance. Other options include chrome plating, nickel plating, painting, polishing, powder coating, sandblasting and grinding for flat surfaces.

Critical features are measured on CMM after finishing, and inspection reports are supplied. Every part receives inspection of critical dimensions before shipment, and anodize color and thickness are checked against the approved sample. Typical uses include optical and laser mounts, medical device housings, sensor brackets, robot end-effectors, aerospace prototype parts and precision instrument frames.

## FAQ
### Can ±0.005 mm be held after anodizing?
Yes, with planning. We machine critical features with an allowance for coating growth, or mask them during anodizing. Final dimensions are then measured after finishing. Very tight tolerances on anodized surfaces add cost, so apply them only where needed.

### Which is better for precision parts, 6061 or 7075?
6061-T6 machines and anodizes well and is the default for most precision parts. 7075-T6 is stronger and more stable for thin features and threads but costs more and anodizes darker. Choose 7075 when strength or stiffness is the deciding factor.

### How do I get a quote for 5-axis cnc milled anodized aluminum precision parts?
Send a 3D model (STEP or IGES) and a 2D drawing with tolerances, material, finish and quantity through the quote form or by email. An engineer replies within 24 hours on business days with price, lead time and any DFM suggestions.
