## How we make it
PP and PE are soft and slippery, so clamping uses broad soft jaws or vacuum to avoid squeezing the part out of shape. Cutters are single- or two-flute with polished flutes to clear long, stringy chips. PC is tougher but can stress-crack if coolant is incompatible, so we machine it dry or with air. Parts are allowed to settle before final dimensions are checked.

PP offers excellent chemical resistance and low cost for tanks, fittings and lab parts; PE and UHMW-PE add very low friction and impact strength. PC is transparent and impact-resistant, used for covers and windows. POM gives precision and stiffness, ABS is easy to finish and paint, and PEEK handles high temperatures. Each material has different expansion rates, which we take into account on tight fits.

Parts are measured at stable room temperature with micrometers, pin gauges and CMM as appropriate, and critical dimensions receive 100% inspection. Clear parts are checked for scratches and haze. Typical uses include chemical pump parts, laboratory fixtures, food-machine guides, clear inspection covers and insulating components for electronics. Material certificates are available for traceable grades such as PEEK and POM.

### Which plastic resists chemicals best for machined parts?
PTFE has the broadest chemical resistance, followed by PP and PE, which handle most acids, bases and solvents at low cost. PEEK resists many chemicals at high temperature. Share the specific chemical, concentration and temperature and we will suggest a suitable grade.

### Can clear PC parts be machined and stay transparent?
Yes. Machined PC surfaces are frosted, but they can be restored to near-transparency by vapor or flame polishing, or fine mechanical polishing. Areas that must be optically clear should be noted on the drawing so they are protected during machining.
