# CNC Turned Copper Fishing Sinkers and Aluminum Tubes

Category: Precision CNC Machined Parts
URL: https://www.machined-parts-factory.com/products/precision-cnc-machined-parts/cnc-turned-copper-fishing-sinkers-and-aluminum-tubes/

These are CNC turned fishing tackle components: lead-free copper and brass sinkers in custom weights, plus machined aluminum and stainless steel tubes for rod parts, reel handles and line guides. Sinkers are turned from bar and drilled through for line; tubes are cut, bored and threaded. They are made for tackle brands looking for lead-free alternatives and durable metal fittings.

- Lead-free copper and brass sinkers in custom weights
- Line holes chamfered to protect fishing line
- Anodized aluminum or 316 stainless tube parts
- Batch check-weighing against target weight

## How we make it
A sinker's weight is set by its volume, so we design the profile to hit the target weight within a tight range and then turn it from copper or brass bar on CNC lathes. The line hole is drilled and chamfered on both ends so it will not cut fishing line. Tubes are turned and bored for fit, with threads or knurling added where needed.

Copper and brass are dense, at roughly 8.4–8.9 g/cm³, which makes them practical lead-free sinker materials; brass is easier to machine and costs less than pure copper. Aluminum 6061-T6 is light and anodized for rod and reel parts, while 316 stainless resists salt water best. Sinkers can be painted, powder coated or plated in custom colors.

Each batch of sinkers is check-weighed against the target weight, and line-hole edges are inspected for burrs. Tube diameters and threads are measured with gauges, and critical dimensions are checked on every part. Typical uses include drop-shot and bullet sinkers, tungsten-alternative weights, rod butt caps, reel handle tubes and saltwater-rated rigging hardware.

## FAQ
### Are brass sinkers a good replacement for lead?
Yes, for many applications. Brass is less dense than lead, at about 8.5 versus 11.3 g/cm³, so a brass sinker of the same weight is slightly larger. It does not leach lead into water, machines cleanly and accepts paint or plating, which makes it popular for lead-free tackle.

### How accurately can you control sinker weight?
We calculate the volume from the profile and density of the bar, then adjust the turned dimensions on the first article until it hits the target. Batches are check-weighed, and typical variation stays small because CNC turning repeats diameters and lengths very closely.

### How do I get a quote for cnc turned copper fishing sinkers and aluminum tubes?
Send a 3D model (STEP or IGES) and a 2D drawing with tolerances, material, finish and quantity through the quote form or by email. An engineer replies within 24 hours on business days with price, lead time and any DFM suggestions.
