Precision CNC Machined Parts

5-Axis CNC Machined Aluminum Automotive Brackets

These are aluminum automotive brackets, sensor mounts, engine-bay fittings and EV component carriers produced on 5-axis CNC machines. Complex angled faces and hole patterns are cut in few setups, with critical features held down to ±0.01 mm. Lead time is typically 7–15 days. They suit automotive engineers, tuners and EV startups needing prototype, validation and low-volume production parts.

How we make this part

Process, material options and inspection for 5-axis cnc machined aluminum automotive brackets.

Automotive brackets often bridge components that sit at awkward angles, so 5-axis machining is a natural fit: angled mounting faces and holes are machined from one datum without dedicated fixtures. For prototypes we machine from billet; for low-volume production we can machine from extrusions or castings to save material. Thin sections are machined with rest-material passes to avoid chatter.

6061-T6 is the default for brackets and covers; 7075-T6 is used where weight savings and high strength are both needed, such as suspension or chassis test parts. Under-hood parts are anodized or powder coated for heat and chemical resistance. Stainless or steel inserts can be added at high-wear fastener points. Material certificates support PPAP-style documentation requests from customers.

First articles receive full dimensional reports on CMM, which many automotive buyers need for design validation. Production parts are inspected 100% on critical characteristics under our ISO 9001 system. We do not hold IATF 16949, so serial production parts follow your supplier qualification. Typical uses include sensor brackets, battery module carriers, intake fittings, ADAS camera mounts and motorsport parts.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can you supply inspection reports for automotive validation?

Yes. We provide first-article inspection reports with CMM data on all drawing dimensions, plus material certificates. We work under ISO 9001 and can support many documentation requests, but we do not hold IATF 16949 certification for serial automotive supply.

Is machining viable for low-volume automotive production?

For volumes from one-offs to a few thousand parts, CNC machining often beats casting or forging once tooling cost and lead time are counted. Design changes cost only a program update. As volume grows, we can quote casting plus machining for comparison.

How do I get a quote for 5-axis cnc machined aluminum automotive brackets?

Send a 3D model (STEP or IGES) and a 2D drawing with tolerances, material, finish and quantity through the quote form or by email. An engineer replies within 24 hours on business days with price, lead time and any DFM suggestions.
