5-Axis CNC Machined Stainless Steel and Aluminum Prototypes

Prototype jobs move straight from your STEP file to CAM; we review manufacturability and flag thin walls, deep pockets or sharp internal corners before cutting. 5-axis positioning lets us reach angled features without custom fixtures, which is what makes single-piece orders affordable. When a design will later go to production in another process, such as casting, we can machine to that process's geometry so test results transfer.

Aluminum 6061 is fastest to machine and keeps prototype cost and time down. Stainless 304 and 316 are slower to cut but represent the real corrosion and strength behavior if the final part will be steel. 17-4PH can be heat treated for high strength. Finishes are applied as specified, from bead blast and anodizing to passivation, or skipped entirely for fit-check parts.

Each prototype receives a first-article inspection with key dimensions reported, and full CMM reports are available when you need data for design validation. Prototypes typically ship in 3–7 working days, depending on complexity and finish. Typical uses include fit and function testing, engineering validation builds, pilot runs, trade-show samples and bridge production before tooling.
