5-Axis Milled Aluminum Drone Motor Mount and Bracket
These are drone motor mounts, arm-to-motor adapters and aviation brackets, 5-axis CNC milled from 7075 or 6061 aluminum. Angled motor tilts, clamp bores and lightweighting pockets are machined in one or two setups. They suit UAV manufacturers, VTOL developers and research teams that need light, stiff mounts with accurate motor bolt patterns for prototypes and production.

Manufacturing
How we make this part
Process, material options and inspection for 5-axis milled aluminum drone motor mount and bracket.
Motor mounts often tilt the motor a few degrees for yaw authority or include curved clamps for round arms, which suits 5-axis machining. The clamp bore, motor bolt circle and center hole are machined relative to the same datum. Pockets on the underside remove weight while leaving ribs between bolt holes. Clamp slots are cut last to avoid distortion of the bore.
7075-T6 aluminum gives the best strength-to-weight for motor mounts; 6061-T6 suits lightly loaded brackets. Titanium Grade 5 is used for very small, highly stressed fittings. Anodizing in black, red or blue adds identification and corrosion protection. Hard anodizing in the clamp bore resists wear from carbon tube arms. Laser engraving marks motor positions.
Motor hole patterns, clamp bore diameters and tilt angles are verified with CMM on the first article, and critical features are checked on each part before packing. Weight can be recorded per part. Typical parts include motor mounts for multirotors, VTOL tilt-motor brackets, landing gear mounts, antenna brackets and avionics trays for unmanned aircraft.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can a motor mount clamp onto carbon fiber arms without damage?
Yes, if the clamp bore matches the tube diameter and the clamp has smooth edges. We machine the bore to tube size with a fine finish and recommend a slight radius on the edges. Over-tightening can crush carbon tubes, so specify clamp torque in assembly instructions.
Why choose 5-axis for drone motor mounts?
When mounts include tilt angles, curved clamps or features on several faces, 5-axis machining cuts them accurately in fewer setups. That keeps the motor axis aligned with the arm and reduces vibration. Flat mounts without tilt can be made more cheaply on 3-axis machines.
How do I get a quote for 5-axis milled aluminum drone motor mount and bracket?
