CNC Milled Aluminum PV Brackets & Energy Storage Enclosures
These are CNC milled parts for solar and battery storage systems, including photovoltaic (PV) mounting brackets, clamp blocks, enclosure frames, cover plates and busbar supports. We machine them from 6061-T6 and 6063 aluminum extrusions or plate and 304 stainless steel. They are for energy storage integrators and solar hardware makers who need custom geometry beyond standard catalog parts.

Manufacturing
How we make this part
Process, material options and inspection for cnc milled aluminum pv brackets & energy storage enclosures.
Many PV and storage parts start from aluminum extrusions. We cut them to length, then mill slots, mounting holes and pockets on 3- and 4-axis machines, which keeps material waste low compared with machining from solid plate. Larger enclosure frames and cover plates are milled from plate, with gasket grooves and threaded inserts machined in the same setup to hold sealing geometry.
6063 aluminum extrudes well into complex profiles and anodizes cleanly, while 6061-T6 is stronger and preferred for load-bearing brackets. 304 stainless clamp hardware avoids corrosion at fastener points but should be isolated from aluminum to reduce galvanic action. Finishes include clear or black anodizing, which typically adds 5–25 µm, and powder coating for enclosures exposed to UV.
Hole patterns are checked against the mating rail or module frame, flatness of enclosure faces is measured for gasket sealing, and threads are verified with gauges. Critical dimensions are inspected on every part before shipment. Typical applications include ground-mount and rooftop PV brackets, battery cabinet frames, inverter heat-sink plates and busbar insulator supports.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can you machine parts from my own aluminum extrusion profile?
Yes. If you have a custom profile, we can source it or machine extrusions you supply, adding holes, slots and pockets to your drawing. Using an extrusion close to the finished shape saves material and machine time compared with cutting the same part from solid plate.
How do you prevent galvanic corrosion between aluminum and stainless?
We recommend anodizing the aluminum and using insulating washers or sleeves where stainless fasteners touch it, especially outdoors. Anodizing alone helps, but isolating the contact and keeping water from collecting at the joint makes the bigger difference over a long service life.
How do I get a quote for cnc milled aluminum pv brackets & energy storage enclosures?
Send a 3D model (STEP or IGES) and a 2D drawing with tolerances, material, finish and quantity through the quote form or by email. An engineer replies within 24 hours on business days with price, lead time and any DFM suggestions.
