Precision CNC Machined Parts

CNC Turned and Milled Brass and Stainless Steel Nozzles

These are custom nozzles, spray tips, orifices and jets turned and milled from brass, copper, stainless steel or aluminum. Orifice bores, internal tapers and threads are machined to drawing, with customer logos marked if needed. Each part is 100% inspected. They suit makers of spraying, cleaning, firefighting, cooling and dispensing equipment that depend on consistent flow from every nozzle.

Manufacturing

How we make this part

Process, material options and inspection for cnc turned and milled brass and stainless steel nozzles.

Nozzle performance depends on the orifice, so we turn the internal profile and drill or ream the orifice in the same setup as the outside diameter to keep it centered. Small orifices are drilled with micro-drills at controlled feed, then deburred so no burr disturbs flow. Slots for flat-fan spray patterns are milled with thin cutters. Threads and wrench flats are cut on the lathe with live tooling.

Brass is the standard nozzle material for water and mild chemicals: it machines quickly and resists corrosion. Stainless 303 or 316 lasts longer in abrasive or chemical service and at higher pressure. Copper conducts heat for welding and cooling tips. Aluminum is light but wears faster in water jets. Nickel plating on brass adds durability and appearance.

Orifice diameters are measured with pin gauges or optical systems, threads with gauges, and concentricity checked at first article. Flow testing can be arranged to your specification. Every critical dimension is 100% inspected before shipping. Typical uses include garden and agricultural spray tips, cleaning nozzles, fire-sprinkler parts, coolant nozzles and dispensing tips.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How small an orifice can you drill in a nozzle?

We regularly drill small orifices with micro-drills, typically down to fractions of a millimeter depending on material and depth. The length-to-diameter ratio of the orifice is the main limit. Send the drawing, and we will confirm the minimum achievable size and tolerance.

Brass or stainless steel for spray nozzles?

Brass works well for water, air and mild chemicals at moderate pressure, and costs less. Choose stainless steel for abrasive slurries, aggressive chemicals, hot water or high-pressure cleaning, where brass would wear or corrode faster.

How do I get a quote for cnc turned and milled brass and stainless steel nozzles?

Send a 3D model (STEP or IGES) and a 2D drawing with tolerances, material, finish and quantity through the quote form or by email. An engineer replies within 24 hours on business days with price, lead time and any DFM suggestions.
