Precision Stamped Stainless Steel Hardware Components
These are precision stamped hardware components in stainless steel, such as clips, brackets, washers, contacts and spring parts, produced with progressive or single-stage dies. Aluminum and other sheet metals are also available. Before tooling, prototypes are laser cut and formed to validate the design. They suit hardware, appliance and electronics makers needing consistent metal parts at volume.

Manufacturing
How we make this part
Process, material options and inspection for precision stamped stainless steel hardware components.
Stamping presses cut and form sheet or coil in fast, repeatable strokes. Progressive dies perform several operations at successive stations as the strip advances, which suits small, complex parts at high volume. Single-stage dies cost less and fit simpler parts or lower quantities. We design dies around your part, run trial strips, and adjust forming stations until the first articles match the drawing.
301 and 304 stainless are common for stamped hardware; 301 can be supplied in spring tempers for clips and retaining parts, while 304 offers better general corrosion resistance. Stamped edges have a burr side and a shear zone, which matters for parts that touch hands or wires; deburring by tumbling handles this. Parts can be passivated, polished or electroplated after stamping.
First articles from new dies are measured fully, and production is monitored with in-process checks at set intervals to catch die wear. Critical dimensions such as hole positions and form heights are 100% checked on key characteristics. Typical uses include cable clips, battery contacts, hinge plates, mounting brackets, spring washers and appliance hardware.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a stamping die for a small order?
No. For prototypes and small batches we laser cut and press-brake form the parts with no dedicated tooling. A stamping die makes sense when volume is high enough to recover its cost through lower piece price. We can quote both options for comparison.
Who owns the stamping die?
Dies built for your part number and paid for by you are your tooling. We maintain them while they are in use for your orders. Details of ownership, maintenance and storage are agreed when the tooling is quoted.
How do I get a quote for precision stamped stainless steel hardware components?
Send a 3D model (STEP or IGES) and a 2D drawing with tolerances, material, finish and quantity through the quote form or by email. An engineer replies within 24 hours on business days with price, lead time and any DFM suggestions.
